Super 8 Movie Trailer

No comments:
Something to look forward to this month. Super 8 movie, written and directed by J.J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg!

In 1979 the United States Air Force shuts down a portion of Area 51 and ships the material stored at the decommissioned site by rail to an undisclosed but secure location in Ohio. In the fictional town of Lillian, Ohio, a group of teenagers are making a movie with a Super 8 mm film camera when they witness a train crash. They suspect it was not an accident. There are disappearances and unexplained events around town, and the local deputy investigates the cause of the events leading to the discovery of something inhuman.

Tell them you love them

1 comment:
Each year on a Christmas Eve, Daddy K and I have a tradition of watching movies. This year, we watched a movie called P.S. I love you. I know it's not a Christmas related film but we haven't seen that movie yet so we watched it nevertheless. It's a drama movie based on a book by Cecilia Ahern. The movie is basically about how the newly widowed Holly Kennedy received letters from her late husband Gerry. She received the first one in a form of a cake on her 30th birthday and a tape recording from Gerry telling her to "celebrate herself". Weeks and months flowed by and more letter from Gerry were delivered, all were about living on and then sending her to a new adventure and each letter were signed with P.S. I love you.

It's a sad yet very heart-warming story. Imagine creating something like that for your love one. It's like you're reassuring them that you still love them even if you're no longer around. It's like making a will, but instead of monetary values, you are imparting them your emotional values, your lasting legacy. With technology today, personal videos can be seen left and right. It makes it easy for us make a video will of our own and send it to our loved ones. It makes it more personal and more touching to see the person you love leave a message to you. It may bring tears to their eyes but it's a bittersweet feeling. And you'll know that they will always be reminded of how important they are, even without you by their side to tell them so.

Since it's Christmas time, why don't we start making our own emotional legacy today and let our loved ones know how important they are to us.

Alice in Wonderland

1 comment:
I've been looking forward to this movie ever since I heard the buzz that Tim Burton will be handling it. I know how weird and wonderful it would be and I've been trying to completely watch all of his movies, blame it on Edward Scissorhands and Catwoman in Batman Returns. Of course, the fact that they were directed by the same director was realized a little later when I had a growth spurt and take notice of other important details other than the movie titles. Looking at the trailer now, I already felt the magic and fantasy of this 3D movie. I'll definitely make sure that we'll watch it on IMAX, even if it meant sacrificing my birthday gift on March.

I wonder if I can bring Una with us?

Coraline + Knitting

You may have noticed that there had been zero updates on teaching myself knitting and it frustrates me that all I can do is just drool over those knitted tees and baby clothes. Since all I can is just watch and drool, here's one cute video that I saw in SouleMama's sidebar and it involves on of my favorite books.

Look at those cute creations!

Eagle Eye

No comments:
New addition to my tickets collection!

K-kun and I watched Eagle Eye yesterday in TriNoMa and it was worth all that travel! The ride in the MRT was pleasant and has some special exception because I'm pregnant. No need to go into the long lines of the South-bound station and no need to go through all the flights of stairs just to get over to the other side of the station. Whoo!

Anyway, the film is not your usual action-packed film. It's very entertaining and the stars (Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan) were able to shine on their own. I must admit that LaBeouf is not just a pretty face but a very good actor as well. He was able to convey different emotions without overdoing it. I won't talk about the movie, afraid that I might spill some spoilers. There is a minor disappointment, but don't mind me, I tend to focus on the smallest unimportant details so it might be nothing to the effect of the film. K actually enjoyed the whole film.

See for yourself, I bet it's worth your time and money.

Books to Film

No comments:
I thought I'm excited for the Twilight screening on November but I just seen ET and saw their behind the scenes footage of Angels & Demons! Wow! One of my favorite books on film. Yes, Tom Hanks is still Robert Langdon. I just hope that the film won't be that much of a disappointment compared to The Da Vinci Code. Nevertheless, I'm still excited for the 2009 screening! Yay!

Here's the official trailer found in YouTube (they started filming June 2008)

And here is an impressive fan made trailer. Makes me more excited!

started and finished reading the twilight series this week. finished reading midnight sun. preferred edward's side of the story. now i'm re-reading the whole series again. i'm guilty though. can't find all four books in the bookstore near our place so i have to give in into, ehem, other resources.

i love the books' playlist. my kind of music. wonder what will be included in the movie soundtrack?

two more months till the movie screening. can't wait!
